So, you have an Asus laptop.. And you can't find new drivers and soft for it. Of course. All you need is:
1. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-en
2. Select product -- Notebook
3. Select Series -- Apps (for software) or Drivers.
You don't have to choose your model, that's the trick. Do what I said. For example, you need to upgrade your VGA driver from ATI. Choose: Notebook -> Drivers -> VGA -> Search -> Windows 7 -> Search -> 69 results (January 9th search result). Press + and choose the latest driver signed "ATI Graphics driver". There are 3 different types of drivers: Intel based, nVidia based and ATI based. See "Description" field for info. The latest driver is always for the latest OS (Windows 7). You can update to it even if you have Vista installed, don't worry.
To download driver choose download from "Global" and fill the captcha code. Sometimes you have to choose other location to set the maximum speed of downloading (depends on your physical location), but this way to download the driver is better than using Asus's ftp site, just know it.
4. So, you downloaded the driver. Find and install Driver Sweeper. Run it in Windows Safe Mode and delete all the previous driver files from ATI (first uninstall driver using ATI Manager and then do the Driver Sweeper's cleaning in Windows Safe Mode).
5. Run installation of new driver after Sweeping and Windows reloading.
Of course you can also try to download and install the latest driver directly from ATI's site. But this is another story..
Now, for example, you need to find new version of some program for your laptop. Once again:
1. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-en
2. Select product -- Notebook
3. Select Series -- Apps.
Choose the desirable software and again, choose Windows 7 OS for latest version of software. After downloading -- install as ordinary program.
This manual helps you to keep drivers and soft for your Asus laptop fresh as first snow.
